Description

Mount Semeru or Gunung Semeru is the tallest mountain in the islands of Java and one the most active volcano. Known also as Mahameru (Great Mountain), it is very steep and rises abruptly above the coastal plains of Eastern Java. Crater lakes have formed along the summit.
Mount Semeru lies at the south end of the Tengger Volcanic Complex. Mount Semeru’s has a long history is eruptions, since 1818, at least 55 eruptions have been recorded (10 of which resulted in fatalities) both consisting of lava flows. Mt Semeru has been in a state of near-constant eruption since 1967 to the present time. At times, small eruption happen every 10 minutes. Mt Semeru is regularly climbed by tourists, usually starting from the village of Rano Pani to the north.

Start From Bali Island

DAY 01 : BALI – EAST JAVA
Upon arrival at Surabaya airport, Our guide meets you. Transfer by AC coach to Ranupani a small village. Check in at local home stay overnight, or if starting from Bali, we will pick you up at 09.00 am drive to Gili Manuk harbour,boat cross to Java island arrived in ketapang , visit the biggest Hindu Temple in Sindoro Lumajang and drive to Ranu Pani village stay over night.

DAY 02 : RANU PANI – RANU KOMBOLO – KALI MATI
Ranu Pani Village the starting point to climb to Mt Semeru. Upon arrival, We start our trekking through the tropical rain forest of Mt Semeru to Ranu kombolo, a gentle walk for 3.5 hours, lunch break,plus views of the lake Ranu kombolo. Continue walking through tropical forest to Kali Mati. Kali Mati camp site is another 3 hours trekking, On arrival our guides will prepare your dinner while you relax and enjoy surrounding view”s, also visit Hindu holy water site.Camp over night in tent.

DAY 03 : SUMMIT of MT SEMERU – KALI MATI – RANU KOMBOLO
Early morning wake up, breakfast, then we climb to the summit of Mt Semeru (3,676 m) reach the craters rim, take’s 4 hours walking, watch spectacular sunrise and see Mt Bromo , Arjuna, Arguporo, Kawah Ijen, Welirang and Mt kawi. Take photograph’s and some rest befor the descend down to base camp, continue a gentle walk to Ranu Kombolo for lunch with the lake view’s. Trekking back to Ranu Pani, then proceed to Ranu Kumbolo, overnight. Here you’ll appreciate the beautiful nature.

DAY 04 : RANU KOMBOLO – RANU PANI – CEMORO LAWANG
Morning,after breakfast we return to Ranu Pani village. By 4 Wheel drive jeep, our driver will take you on to Cemoro Lawang Village, crossing the Bromo’s sea of sand area,your overnight stay at the closest situated hotel to the Calder, Bromo Permai Hotel or Similiar.

DAY 05 : MT. BROMO – SURABAYA AIRPOT – DEPARTURE
Early start, four Wheel-drive jeep will take you up to Mt. Pananjakan (2,770 M ) wonderful view’s of the sunrise over Mt.Bromo to the sea. Trekking up to the rim of Mt.Bromo’s for close up view of it’s smoking crater. Return to hotel for breakfast, by air-conditioned car, take’s 3 hours journey to Surabaya Airport for your flight to your next destination
